I've had the car looked at with Peugeot Planet thanks to Ginger Magic and we got the following info but now I'm unsure where to go next. Fault code: P0087. Engine speed: 1028rpm. Diesel pressure: 125 bars. Diesel limited pressure: 572 bars. Pump output: 14 mm3/seconde. Diesel flow regulator voltage: 1862mV. Mileage: 42872km.
The 1.6 THP BMW N13B16 engine also struggles with the carbon deposits on the cylinder head components. However, this is due to the direct fuel injection characteristic where the intake fuel does not clean the intake and valve. Importantly, the problem with carbon deposits did not arise earlier than after covering some 100,000 kilometers.
The Citroen C4 1.6 HDi turbo has been replaced last year November because of the Turbo Wailing like a police siren. The car came back last week with the same noise to the turbo, so I took the turbo off to inspect to find that the Turbine blades ( hot side ) have been damaged from foreign object from the engine. The foreign object To a certain extent this doesn’t matter, but if the fuel filter is too dirty, the engine will no longer perform at full capacity and in some instance may not start at all. Cleaning is not possible, you can only change the filter. 7. Fuel pump failure. If your C4’s fuel pump fails, then the engine won’t start.
