I've not looked at the car yet, so I wondered if anyone has any advice as to what to look / listen out for with regards the timing chain and any other known issues to check.

the vvt pulleys are common as anything. the 1.6 has two,one for each cam,cant say about 1.4,i would have thought its the same. pulleys are 45 each from dealers and chain parts are sold individually. you need the proper tools to do this job. job aint bad,4 to 5 hours book time.
